Diesel ULSD (Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel) 10ppm
Ultra-low-sulfur diesel (ULSD) is fuel with substantially lower sulfur content. Since 2006, almost all petroleum-based diesel fuel available in Europe and North America has been of a ULSD type. The reduction in sulfur content allows for advanced emissions control technologies that significantly lower harmful emissions from diesel combustion.
Usage of Diesel ULSD EN590 (10ppm)
Diesel EN590 has been a standard in Europe for almost 20 years, continuously evolving with emission regulations. It is designed to work with Euro 4 and Euro 5 engines, reducing sulfur oxides emissions and benefiting urban air quality.
Diesel EN590 Grades
- Grade A: Limiting filterability temperature +5°C
- Grade B: Limiting filterability temperature 0°C
- Grade C: Limiting filterability temperature –5°C
- Grade D: Limiting filterability temperature –10°C
- Grade E: Limiting filterability temperature –15°C
- Grade F: Limiting filterability temperature –20°C
Many European countries require Winter Diesel that meets at least Class F conditions from December to February. In Scandinavian regions, stricter standards are required, often referred to as Arctic Diesel.
